What you need
Remote Access works only if the phone was prepared while you still had it. Check these before you expect a command to arrive.
- The same Google account. The account you sign in with here must be the one signed in inside Alert24 on the phone.
- Remote Access turned on in the app. The slide control on the app's home screen. Without it, the phone ignores every command.
- Location set to Allow all the time, and camera allowed. The app turns Remote Access off by itself if either is missing.
- The phone is on and online. Alert24 cannot reach a phone that is switched off or has no internet.
- A Premium subscription on the account. Remote Access is part of Alert24 Premium.
How it works
The same four steps the app shows you. Do them today; they take about two minutes.
- 1
Sign in with Google in Alert24 on the phone.
Open the side menu and sign in. This account is what identifies your phone.
- 2
Turn on Remote Access on the app's home screen and allow location all the time and camera.
Slide the Remote Access control. When Android asks, choose Allow all the time for location and allow the camera.
- 3
Optional: add a backup number in Access via Phone.
In the side menu, open Access via Phone and verify your number with the SMS code. It is linked to the same Google account.
- 4
Open Remote Access on another phone with the same Google account, or sign in at alert24.in.
Your phone appears in the device list with its name, model, online status and last seen time. Pick it and use the actions below.
Google login or phone-number login
Google login is the normal way in. Sign in with the account from the app, and the site lists every phone that uses that account. If you have more than one Google account, use the one shown in the Alert24 side menu.
Phone-number login is the backup for when you are on a borrowed device and cannot remember your Google password. It works only with a number you verified in the app under Access via Phone, because that verification links the number to your Google account. Signing in with the number opens the same account and shows the same devices. A number that was never verified in the app opens nothing, and the site will say so.
What each action does
Take Picture

Ring / Find My Device
Rings the phone at full volume, even on silent. Only your Alert24 passcode stops it on the phone.
Learn moreLocate
Shows the phone's last location on a map, with the address. Older locations from intruder photos are listed too.
Learn moreMark as Lost
Takes a photo every time someone unlocks the phone, and every 30 minutes, each with its location.

Online, offline and "Remote Access is off"
Each device card shows a status. Online means the app on the phone reported in during the last two minutes. Offline means it did not; the phone may be off, without signal, or the app may have been stopped. Remote Access is off means the phone is reachable but the switch in the app is off, so the buttons are disabled.
When you send a command, the phone confirms it by clearing the request. If a command is still pending after about a minute, the phone did not receive it. Wait for the status to turn online, then send it again.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Phone shows offline | The app has not reported in for two minutes: phone off, no internet, flight mode, or the app was force-stopped. | Wait and refresh. Commands are kept and run when the phone reconnects. After a force-stop the phone can take up to 15 minutes to listen again, or opening Alert24 on it restarts the service at once. |
| Remote Access is off | The home-screen switch is off, or the location (all the time) or camera permission was removed and the app switched it off. | On the phone, grant both permissions and slide Remote Access on again. This cannot be changed from the web. |
| This number isn't linked to a Google account yet | The number was never verified in the app, so it is not attached to any account. | If you have the phone: open Access via Phone in Alert24 and verify the number. If you do not: sign in with Google instead. |
| No devices listed | You signed in with a different Google account than the one in the app, or the phone never opened the app while signed in. | Sign out and use the account shown in the Alert24 side menu. If you have the phone, open Alert24 once while signed in. |
| Command sent, nothing happened | The phone did not read the request within a minute. | Check the online status and Remote Access state, then send again. Ringing and locating need the phone on and connected. |
| Permission denied | The signed-in account is not the account that owns the device. | Use the same Google account as in the app. Devices can only be read and commanded by their own account. |
Frequently asked questions
Is my phone safe from other people using this page?
Yes. Only the verified Google account that was signed in on the phone can see it or send it commands. The check runs on the server, so it applies to the website and the app alike.
Can I use this page from an iPhone or a computer?
Yes. Any browser works. The phone you protect must be Android.
Can I lock or erase my phone here?
No. Alert24 does not lock or wipe phones. Use Google's Find My Device for that, alongside Alert24.
Why do I see my phone twice?
A factory reset or a reinstall can give the same phone a new identity. The card with the most recent last-seen time is the live one.
Not set up yet? Do it now
Install Alert24, sign in with Google and turn on Remote Access on the home screen. More questions are answered in the FAQ.
